Salaries and Remuneration Commission Advertises Job Opportunities; How To Apply

The Salaries and Remuneration Commission is an independent commission established under Article 230 of Kenya’s 2010 Constitution with the mandate to set and regularly review the Remuneration and Benefits of all State Officers, as well as to advise the National and County Governments on the Remuneration and Benefits of all other Public Officers.

The Commission must consider the following criteria in carrying out its mandate: fiscal sustainability of the public compensation bill, attraction and retention of required talents for service delivery, productivity and performance, transparency, fairness, and equity.


The Commission is looking for skilled and experienced candidates to fill the following roles.


Principal Officer – Job Evaluation and Salary Structures – RL4.Senior Officer – Collective Bargaining Negotiations – RL5.


Legal Clerk – RL7.


Secretary – RL 7.


Driver – RL 8B.

When an offer of employment is made, the successful candidate MUST produce and satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of Kenya’s 2010 Constitution by presenting copies of the following documents;


A legitimate Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) tax compliance certificate;A current Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI);


A legitimate Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) Clearance Certificate;A genuine Clearance Certificate from a CRB that has been approved.


A valid Clearance form from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; and (EACC).
